I grew up on a small ranch in Wyoming and learned the value of hard work at an early age. I relocated to Oklahoma City for College in 2001 and fell in love with this city dubbed the Big Friendly. In 2006, I joined the U.S. Army Reserves and served with them until 2014. From 2009-2010, I deployed to Iraq with the 910th QM Co. While overseas, I earned my Sergeant stripes and led a team of Soldiers completing multiple missions throughout Iraq. After returning home, I met my beautiful wife and we married in 2013. During this time, I worked in the Automotive Industry and the Oil & Gas Industry. Finally, in 2016, I made the jump and joined Emily full-time in the Real Estate Industry. Never one for sitting still, I went on to earn the ABR® (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), GRI® (Graduate Realtor’s Institute), and PSA® (Pricing Strategy Advisor) designations. The knowledge I’ve gained through continuing my Real Estate education has served our clients well. The best part about being a Realtor® is helping our clients achieve their goals. Whether that’s finding your next family home, or building generational wealth through Real Estate Investments - I’m Mission Ready to guide you through the process.
I was born and raised in Chicago, Il. From Chicago, my family and I moved to Texas. In Texas, I was able to graduate from Temple college with my associates at the age of 17 and a few years later, I graduated from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with my bachelor’s in science at the age of 19. The following summer after graduating college, I joined the United States Air Force. I served active duty in the Air Force for 8 years. I was an aircraft mechanic at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City (OKC) from 2016 to 2022, and a religious affairs airman at Whiteman AFB in Missouri from 2022 to 2024. I traveled to Dubai, Spain, Greece, England, Portugal, and served a 6-month deployment in Abu Dhabi. While deployed, I earned a degree from the Community College of the Air Force in Avionics Technology. In 2022, I switched career fields and became a religious affairs airman. I had a great experience in growing into a better airman, a better supervisor and a better overall person. In 2022, I met my boyfriend, Jose. He is also in the military and stationed here in OKC. After finishing my active-duty commitment, I joined the Air Force Reserves in OKC and made the choice to become a real estate agent. I earned my license in July of 2024, and joined the We Sell Oklahoma Team in September. I love being a real estate agent! Every day is the chance to learn something new and to grow with this incredible team. I love that we get to help our clients with this process and seeing their faces when we find them their home. Our team is dedicated to serving our clients with integrity and thoughtfulness and giving everyone the best we can, when we can!
Being a Realtor was never on my radar growing up. I was, and still am, an artist at heart. I entered adulthood with a dream of being a professional artist. I quickly obtained an Associates degree in graphic design from The Art Institute of Dallas in 2005, and immediately began working in the advertising and design industry. I held a position as the Creative Director of a regional magazine for several years, and worked as a freelance designer for various local and national businesses. At the same time I was learning the basics of print advertising, the age of social media began to explode. I followed marketing trends closely, and learned the importance of understanding online algorithms. This skill, I believe, was critical when launching my real estate career later on. In February 2013, after several major life changes (losing my first husband to suicide in 2010, living in Mexico for a year, returning to the States and relocating cross-country several times, and finally getting re-married to the absolute LOVE of my life) it was time to put down roots and figure out a new path. At 28 years old I jumped into the world of real estate when tattoos were still considered “taboo” and the average Realtor’s age was 55+. But when you’re young, hungry, and have no other options, desperation can be a hell-of-a motivator. My first year in business I won “Rookie of the Year” with the highest sales volume of all first year agents for the entire state of Oklahoma. From there, I built a successful business that would eventually lead my husband to join me in 2015. Since then, we have been hustling to help as many families as possible achieve the American Dream of homeownership. I didn’t start out loving real estate. It was a means to an end. A way to make money and support our growing family. I got really good at it first, then fell in love with it over time. Over the years I have developed a passion for not only helping my clients build generational wealth, but I've found a genuine pride in helping my fellow real estate industry colleagues grow and learn how to elevate their business. I find that, when industry professionals as a whole are operating at a high level of expertise, we provide better quality service to the public.
