Being a Realtor was never on my radar growing up. I was, and still am, an artist at heart. I entered adulthood with a dream of being a professional artist. I quickly obtained an Associates degree in graphic design from The Art Institute of Dallas in 2005, and immediately began working in the advertising and design industry. I held a position as the Creative Director of a regional magazine for several years, and worked as a freelance designer for various local and national businesses.
At the same time I was learning the basics of print advertising, the age of social media began to explode. I followed marketing trends closely, and learned the importance of understanding online algorithms. This skill, I believe, was critical when launching my real estate career later on.
In February 2013, after several major life changes (losing my first husband to suicide in 2010, living in Mexico for a year, returning to the States and relocating cross-country several times, and finally getting re-married to the absolute LOVE of my life) it was time to put down roots and figure out a new path.
At 28 years old I jumped into the world of real estate when tattoos were still considered “taboo” and the average Realtor’s age was 55+. But when you’re young, hungry, and have no other options, desperation can be a hell-of-a motivator. My first year in business I won “Rookie of the Year” with the highest sales volume of all first year agents for the entire state of Oklahoma. From there, I built a successful business that would eventually lead my husband to join me in 2015.
Since then, we have been hustling to help as many families as possible achieve the American Dream of homeownership. I didn’t start out loving real estate. It was a means to an end. A way to make money and support our growing family. I got really good at it first, then fell in love with it over time.
Over the years I have developed a passion for not only helping my clients build generational wealth, but I've found a genuine pride in helping my fellow real estate industry colleagues grow and learn how to elevate their business. I find that, when industry professionals as a whole are operating at a high level of expertise, we provide better quality service to the public.
I have helped over 350+ families buy, sell, or invest in real estate since 2013. I have the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), the Graduate Realtor's Institute (GRI), and the Pricing Strategy Analysis (PSA) designations. I continuously teach classes at our brokerage to agents of all skill levels, and have been invited to be a guest speaker at numerous conferences across the state.
