We get asked all kinds of questions from buyers, so we just wanted to explain why it’s important to get pre-qualified BEFORE you go look at houses. The truth is, in a hot market good properties move fast. When you find a home you like, you have to submit your pre-qualification letter WITH your offer.

So you’ve found a home you like and you’re ready to move forward. But it can take 24-48 hours to get a pre-approval letter back from a lender. If your letter isn’t ready, you could be wasting valuable time while someone else makes an offer before you.

It’s crucial to have your ducks in a row from the get-go so you don’t miss out on the home of your dreams.

And last but not least, Realtor and client safety is number one. We know buyers get excited and want to go look at properties ASAP. But if I’ve never met a client before and they want me to go show them a vacant property, you can be darn sure I’m not going unless I can verify they’re a qualified and serious buyer. Even then, if I don’t know you, I’m probably bringing this guy along.
